The Finnish Leonardo da Vinci National Agency in CIMO in co-operation with the
Ministry of Education in Finland and the European Commission organised a European conference on the 4th December 2006 in Marina Congress Center, Helsinki, Finland.

The conference was organised with the goal of highlighting the importance of the Leonardo da Vinci programme as a testing field for the strategies and priorities for European cooperation in VET (the Copenhagen
Process).
The conference supplemented the Ministerial Meeting taking place on 4-5 December in Helsinki. This
Ministerial Meeting was the second follow-up meeting of the Copenhagen process.

Invitation
and programme:
The conference "From Copenhagen to Helsinki" aimed at a
broad audience; it was open to all practitioners in vocational education and
training. The conference took stock of links between policies, as outlined in the Copenhagen Declaration and
Maastricht Communiqué, and practice as displayed in Leonardo-projects and emphasise the key role of
Leonardo da Vinci programme in developing, testing and implementing tools and practices for European
cooperation in VET.
